Abandoned cat wanders into a rural woman's home through the dog door, makes himself comfortable between all the other pets, and leaves her with one question and one answer: 'What's one more friend?'

I live in the middle of nowhere. My closest neighbor is a 20 minute *drive* away. I have no idea where this cat came from,
but I was letting my dogs back in from going potty, and he slipped in with the crew, and jumped straight up on the
counter for pets like he owned the place already. I have 6 dogs, 2 cats, 18 bunnies, and 4 goats already, but hey,
S
what's one more friend? He's incredibly sweet, and has no fear (or at least was able to discern my dogs wouldn't hurt him),
and he looks so much like a cat I had during childhood.
This would be my third cat the CDS has distributed to me!

These pictures are after I gave him a much needed bath (which he surprisingly tolerated quite well), and
brushed out the brambles and various collectibles his fur brought in with him. Not sure what I am going to name him!

Bonanza86 Congrats on the new addition to the family. I'd suggest William The Brave as his new name.
acocktailofmagnets OP I was trying to think if any Winnie the Pooh characters fit him, as I already have a Roo and Tigger ... but I am not sure if any, do.
My Roo, I named because when I first got her, it was the middle of winter and I zipped her up in my jacket with just her little head sticking out like a baby kangaroo. And then Tigger, because he's an orange, striped Maine coon, and quite bouncy, so it just made sense. I'm not fully committed to the theme, but I do have to at least consider it, lol.
GetltDoneOV Well obviously his name is Robin, after Christopher Robin. He came in to this collection of assorted animals like he already belongs? That's Robin. acocktailofmagnets OP That's adorable I like it.
TurnoverFuzzy8264 What a distinguished tux. Congratulations on your new edition. I grew up in the country, people were always dumping unwanted pets in the countryside,
probably convincing themselves they'd live in the wild. I can't even remember how many cats. we had growing up.
acocktailofmagnets OP One person's trash, is another's treasure! Some people truly don't deserve to own animals if they see them as disposable. My heart breaks for the ones that don't get found and saved and brought in to a home to be loved and protected and cherished.
TurnoverFuzzy8264 Thanks for taking this guy in. acocktailofmagnets OP Well, really, he let himself in ;) But I would have taken him in either way :)
Secret_Cow_5053 that is somebody's cat. keep an eye out on the local fb pages or something. also take it to the vet and see if it has a chip
acocktailofmagnets OP I've posted him around, including flyers at the post office, gas station, and local store. If he does belong to someone I will be happy to reunite. But in the meantime, he is getting checked out at the vet tomorrow, and will be spoiled with lots of love and attention.
